I want to express my sadness to Pat's family..
I am praying for you all...I know she is with the Lord--
she was such a fun and never dull Mom....
I have so many memories of her...being a crossing guard
and getting ou
r families together.
I know she touched many lives...I always asked her
how did you raise so many sons-
wow...that takes so much from a mother and she did it.
I always prayed for Pat when I passed her house--
may her family be comforted with God's help.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
I have fond memories of Pat working the kids on arts and crafts during
Vacation Bible School. She always greeted you with a smile on her face.
 She will be missed.

Mike Berk

Pat was an awesome friend and God gave her to me to get through a lot of stuff. She never hesitated to be honest and was a great accountability partner. She loved on me, counseled me, scolded me and encouraged me...she was a mom and through those years on Chestnut Ave., I received informmation, wisdom and spiritual nurturing that has molded me as much as experiences from my own family...maybe even more. I will always remember our "tea time" and laughing A LOT. We were ruthless...we'd make fun of anything and anybody, but always laughed the loudest at ouselves. You are all important to my past and all over my heart in the present.
Love you all very much. Hugs from Nee!

Renee Cavazos

Pat meant the world to me growing up on South Pitt Street. I've got thousands of memories, and she's part of most of them. She was one of those angels who touched you and made you a better person. I remember her telling us during one of the Wednesday Good News Club sessions that when you die you go to heaven and get to see all of the people you love who went before you. I'll bet she's been busy because I doubt there was anyone Pat ever met who she did not feel love for. My deepest sympathy goes to you, Bill. I rarely saw one of you without the other. Pat's legacy lives on-- a very fine one, indeed. Bill, Brad, Greg, Scott and Eric-- no one needs to tell you what a wonderful Mom you have. You are very lucky men.

Mel Rhoads

To all the Hench families,
Your mom was my Bible school teacher MANY years ago and what fun we had.  As we crossed paths over the years, she continued to make me smile with her great sense of humor.
I am so sorry for your loss.

To the Hench family, About the only one I know is Greg and his family and I know Pat had to be someone special to have family like this. I feel with what I hear she is now in heaven and you can all be proud of having her in your life. God bless all of you and my prayers are with you.

Mary Alice, The refuges grandmother.

What a legacy of faithfulness to our Lord Pat has left behind. When my father died in 2002, Pat was at my mother's house w/us during that time of grieving... she was crying, laughing, & being herself. She faithfully came back many times and entered into our pain w/us. She was such a blessing during a time of grief. She has passed her legacy unto her family. When I would see her in church, I told her several times, Greg really has a special gift in ministry. Her eyes would light up and you could see how proud she was of him. The legacy continues down through the grandkids. Greg's daughter would pick my mother up for church...my mother tells me over and over Amanda was so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. The legacy continues. I pray our Savior will comfort you all in your time of grief. May you be comforted now by knowing she is with her heavenly father living in perfect peace.

 Rhonda Loewen (Nancy Brownawells daughter)

Very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. Sad to say we lost touch over the years. But during the time we were in touch she was an amazing and caring person and lots of fun to be around. All of my kids, Christa, Jason and Betsy loved being with her. She will be truly misssed by all her knew her. Know that God is embracing her now and caring for her as she cared for all of us in her time here.
God Bless

Jo Ann Franklin

The Hench family was always known for their great character.
It was bestowed to the sons by a devout loving and caring mother and father.
God be with you all during this time of sadness,
and yet have joy knowing she now has eternal life.

A & All "TOT LOT" Brat(s)

To the Hench Family: I remember Pat when she was my Sunday school teacher at Brethern Christ Church. She would teach me and my siblings Vacation Bible School. Pat would ride a big wheel down the center of the isle in church. All of us kids would laugh and laugh. She always had hugs for all "her" kids. I ran into Pat again at the Courthouse last year when I was serving as a Juror. What fun we had talking about all those fun times. I loved Pat and she will be missed. Bill, Bill Jr., Brad, Scott, Greg and Eric...her legacy lives on in ALL of you. God bless you.

Deb (Evans) Carey

I wanted to send a card to all her sons/husband.  God is with us & He provides our comfort at this time, but we are human & it is a painful time. Pat's strong faith, hope & love were always there, the greatest is her love she gave all.

 Bill and sons--
Joan and I have many happy memories of Pat and all of you.
She will live on in our minds and we wish all of you good and happy lives.
We hope to be seeing you from time to time.

John and Joan Steigleman

Pat was the Best - That's it -- the Best. A Witness of her love for the Lord, a Wife, Mom, Servant, playmate and joker. Pat & Bill have done it all right, and gave the world five fantastic sons. What a joy, blessing, and privilege if you were Pat's friend. Thank You, Lord, for giving us Pat Hench.

I was so sorry to hear of your dear mother's passing. I remember her fondly. My sister and I lived on Garland drive several years ago and always looked forward to seeing her. She was always so kind. I have fond memories of her coming to our house the night before the "annual yard sale" to try and find treasures. I know she will be deeply missed.

Karen Wickard

My thoughts always go out to those that have lost someone so special. She was a very special lady who touched many us,and all that she came in contact with were very blessed. As a kid growing up,I had contact with someone from the Hench clan, to a point sometimes of maybe being a pest. But all were special times for me. She was always to me the neighborhood 2nd mom to all the kids. You always knew even if she had very little time, she truely cared for each of us,and that was very special to me. Pat and Bill will always have a special place in my life. Growing up part of the Pitt St. gang was special in itself, but knowing that a very special family had a major influence in your life, well all I can say is thankyou so much. thanks sharing your mom and dad, and all of your family with of us. She will be missed.

Dick and I, and Betzi Morrison attended Pat's service but did not get to sign the guest book. We extend to the family our deepest sympathy for the loss of your loved one.  Pat was a wonderful unique person.
