Christine Peterson, 62, of Carlisle,
passed away Friday, September 9, 2011, at her home embraced by her family. She was born on August 31, 1949, in Meadville,
a daughter of Bobo and Dolores (Hoderny) Pruskowski.
Christine was a 1967 graduate of St. Agatha’s High School
in Meadville and graduated from Shippensburg University in Business Education. She was a homemaker with a passion and
talent in hand-painted woodcrafts and accessories, which can be found in homes across the country. Some of her other passions
were gardening, journaling, smooth jazz, cooking, coffee, and organizing. Her love of traveling has provided her with an appreciation
of beauty in places such as Emerald Isle, NC, the Adirondack Mountains, and the West Coast. Also, she loved going to shows
at Mt. Gretna Theatre and was an avid Hershey Bears hockey fan. Her greatest passion of all was spending time with her friends
and family, especially her grandchildren. She was deeply devoted to her family and was preceded in death by her father,
Bobo Pruskowski, husband, Dwight R. Peterson and grandson, Landon R. Peterson. She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey
R. Peterson (and his wife, Amy) of Mars and Zachary T. Peterson (and his wife, Renee) of Avon, Ohio; two grandchildren, Madelyn
and Carter Peterson of Mars; her companion, Bernie Campanella of Middletown; her sisters, Sandra Budzbanowski and Gladys McAlevy
of Meadville; her brother, Bud Pruskowski of Warren; her mother, Dolores (Hoderny) Pruskowski of Meadville; and several aunts,
uncles, nieces and nephews. She is remembered for her radiant smile, her cheerful disposition, and her selfless generosity
and kindness. She took great pride and enjoyment in her meticulously manicured home, yard and gardens. Her slogan for life
was “Live, Laugh, Love”. Visiting hours will be held at the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover
St., Carlisle on Wednesday, September 14, from 3 to 6:00 p.m. immediately followed by a Memorial Service with the Rev. Keith
A. Searfoss officiating. There will be a Memorial Gathering at the Comfort Suites, 10 S. Hanover St. immediately after the
service for friends and family to share stories and celebrate her life. Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey
Hospice, 4660 Trindle Rd., Suite 204, Camp Hill, PA 17011.

To
Chris' family and Bernie, I will miss Chris a lot. She was always a well put together, upbeat, positive person. She
always seemed to have a smile on her face. She would light up when she talked about the trips she took with Bernie. And when
she talked about her boys and grand babies. She would give me advice with my boys when I needed. I am really going to miss
our group getting together for birthday and teas and talking about everything. Chris was loved by many.

have all lost a most precious treasure. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, a fantastic wife, the perfect daughter,
an amazing sister and extraordinary friend. Chris and I have been BFFs for over forty years, before anyone knew what a BFF
was. Chris was my most cherished friend beautiful both inside and out. The past few days I have been so sad until I realized
while I was crying, she was happy getting to know her precious first born grandson. Chris Peterson was the BEST!

will miss my dear cousin Chrisha. Our home is littered with the many beautiful crafts she made. Little do most know how close
we were. We spent many a fun weekend at Shippensburg in the 70's Woodstock years then as recent as last year. Jeff and
Zack you were her pride and joy. Bernie you were the shoulder she leaned on as she weakened in the end. Rest assured you'll
see her again in heaven.

I was sorry to hear of the passing of Chis Peterson. She was a really
nice person with a great and pleasant outlook. I met Chris at the Duron paint store (Eberts) and she was always cheerful and
a great customer. She was always eager to discuss the good and not so good things that we had in common (mainly health issues).
This impressed me and she always gave good advice and had a great smile. I know that she will be greatly missed by not only
family and friends, but by the community also.

Words cannot express my sorrow at the loss of Chris.
She was the sweetest person I have known. She was such a good friend to me in Texas. She certainly had her share of misfortunes.
She was in touch and we were going to get together last year while they were at Emerald Isle. At the last minute she
changed her mind saying that she wanted to spend the entire week with her family. Now I can only assume she knew her time
was limited. I did not know about any current problems. I knew she had beat breast cancer.
I am so glad that she
found a companion in Bernie. She seemed to be happy and at peace with him. Of course, Dwight was the light of her life. We
so enjoyed them both. We have many fond memories of the old neighborhood.
I also remember how sweet your mother
is. She wallpapered our entry way for us. We just kept giving her coffee and she kept on working!!
Our thoughts
and prayers are with you and your family. I hope the boys are holding up. I did not realize that your family was so big.
Sincerely, Jan Spessard _____________
