M. Theresa Parsons, 78, of Carlisle, died Saturday, August 27, 2011, in the Chapel Pointe Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Tuesday, August 15, 1933, in Fulton, NY, a daughter of the late Ludger and Rose A. (Hammel) Roy.

Theresa graduated in 1951 from Fulton High School in Fulton, NY. She was a loving homemaker and had also worked for the General Electric Co. in Syracuse, NY for 10 years. She was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church and was a former Girl Scout leader for seven years in Fulton.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Francis H. Parsons, two sons; Michael F. Parsons of Sacramento, CA and Mark L. Parsons of Carlisle, two daughters; Diane R. (and her husband, Timothy) Watson of Syracuse and Kathleen A. (and her husband, Sean) Mulgrew of Westminster, MD, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Irene and two brothers; Oscar and Robert.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, in the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Walt Frankenberry officiating. Burial will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. Viewing will be on Monday from 6 - 8:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry Chapel at Chapel Pointe.
