Kay I. Kuhns, 69, of Newville, died suddenly on Thursday, July
28, 2011, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Friday, July 24, 1942, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late
Paul F. Orner, Sr. and S. Irene (Wickard) Orner, and the widow of James B. Kuhns, who died March 4, 2011.
Kay attended Carlisle High School and formerly worked at Troy
Laundry in Carlisle and Musselman’s Foods in Gardners. She was also a homemaker and babysat children for over 46 years.
She was a member of Victory Tabernacle in Carlisle.
She is survived by three daughters; Jill I. Kuhns and Janet
E. Kuhns, both of Newville and Mary E. (and her husband, Jeremy) Eutzy of Shippensburg, three grandchildren; Madison and Jackson
Eutzy and Gina Kuhns, one brother, Paul F. Orner, Jr. of Jamestown, ND and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August
2, 2011, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Glenn Yohn officiating. Burial will
be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the services.

Mom, Without you, there would have been no me. Your love, your attention,
your guidance, have made me who I am. Without you, I would have been lost, wandering aimlessly, without
direction or purpose. You showed me the way to serve, to accomplish, to persevere. Without you, there would
have been an empty space I could never fill, no matter how I tried. Instead, because of you, I have joy, contentment,
satisfaction and peace.
