Marguerite E. Miller, 90, of Carlisle, died Saturday,
June 25, 2011, at her daughter’s home in Bedford, New Hampshire. She was born on Thursday, November 4, 1920, in Hazleton,
a daughter of the late George E. and Amelia (Neverla) Hindson.
Marguerite graduated from Freeland High School
and obtained her teaching certificate from West Chester State Teachers College. She was a homemaker, seamstress and worked
on the family farm in Dickinson Twp. Marguerite was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years,
Howard F. Miller, two sons, Huntley "Chet" H. (and his wife, Peggy) Miller and Geoffrey G. (and his wife, Linda) Miller, both
of Carlisle, two daughters, Renee M. (and her husband, James) Andwood of Bedford, NH and Karen M. (and her husband, Dr. Tegan)
Blackbird of Elizabethtown, one brother, George (and his wife, Alice) Hindson of Freeland, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Marche D. Miller.
A viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:15
p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with a short service to
immediately follow. Pastor Kevin Kumber will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.
