I am thinking of you today my friend and sharing in your pain
I know it seems as though your life will never be the same
I've taken the same journey before It's a road I know too well But someone it seemed was always there to catch me when I fell There were the times He carried me when my legs were much too weak And the times He held me close to Him when my lips refused to speak There were the times He was my eyes
when mine were full
 of tears
And all the times He comforted me and helped me face my fears
This friend of mine is with you too He's been there all along Just reach for Him and take His hand It's where you now belong!

Shayla L. Darr and Family
I cannot put into words how much of a impact Loretta made in my life, in the 20 years I've have known her.  I cannot recall her and I having a single crossed word. You could always count on Loretta to always be smiling and living life to the fullest. There isn't enough room here for me to express how much she was a part of my life and how much I am missing her.
Prayers to her loving family and thank you for letting me have a chance to say goodbye to her.

George Champlin (Ogar)
Arlene & Leroy - I remember my grandfather saying when my mother passed away that no parent should ever have to bury their child.  Your pain has to be excruciating.  At least Loretta's pain is finally over.  God be with you & the rest of your family.

Words can not explain how much I miss Loretta she was my best friend, I can not remember how many times we said we are more like sisters because we have so much in common.  Prayers to the family she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Sherry Cover and Family
My sister, my best friend
Your life was too short
You leave behind a legacy
Strong willed and determined to the end
You fought a long hard fight
The battle was fierce
The cancer took over
It's not fair, its just not right
We all ask why
I guess there is a purpose for everything
Yours, too look over us?
Still why did you have to die

When a beautiful sunset appears
When a butterfly flutters by
When a hawk flies way above
We will feel your presense and know you are near.

We will all remember your beautiful face
Your couragious zest for life
Your love of the outdoors
We know you are now in a good place.

Loretta. I love you.

Love your sister and bff, Vickie
My deepest sympathy to Arlene, Leroy and entire family of Loretta.  Loretta was a beautiful young lady and very courageous in her long battle with cancer.  We all know she is still with family, although not in the world, but in a beautiful, pain free world with her brother Steven, her Uncle Ronnie and Grandma Blanche, never to walk alone until once again we all see her again.  God be with you now and forever.
All my love to all of you.

Dianne Myers Campbell, aunt of Loretta

Aunt Arlene, Uncle Leroy,Kerstin,Leroy,Lisa,Vickie and family's,
My heart is breaking for you as I sit here writng this. Loretta went through so much pain and agony but she was a trooper and dealt with it all. God told her it was time to rest and he took all of it away and gave her a perfect body and spirit. She is an angel now and watching over her loving family. One day we will all be together again in heaven, but until our time we need to share the special memories of Loretta that we have with each other. When you talk and share those memories it helps to ease the pain of loss.
As time goes by the pain eases up ever so slightly.
I am thinking of each and every one of you and keeping you in my prayers.
I Love you all and May God Bless and keep you in his care.

Deb Smith    (Loretta's cousin)
Kerstin ~ I don't know any mom who could have loved their daughter more.  No matter how weak or how strong, she was always looking out for you. You were top priority.  You two have the most beautiful bond that can never be broken, not even at this time.  I KNOW she will be watching over you.  She would never have it any other way.  You were her ray of sunshine, her best friend, and the most beautiful daughter she could ever have wished for, both inside and out.
She was so proud of you.
To her dear parents, Arlene and Leroy and the rest of Loretta's family ~ our hearts, prayers, and love go out to you.
To Greg ~ you were always there for her
It was such an unconditional love.  I so commend you for that.
Rest peacefully Loretta - you will be deeply missed by all.

The Definition of Loretta

Many words describe you
So Ill just list a few
Quiet, compassionate, selfless
Never needing something new

You liked the simple things in life
And some of your favorites we know
Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons
Forget those reality shows

Youve been through many good times
And just as many bad
But rarely theres a time
I recall you being mad

Special conversations
Other people would not understand
Each person will keep them always
Forever close at hand

Like the soft beat of a drum
In your favorite band
The Southern Wind will blow
But we still wont understand

Road trips and the boardwalk
Motorcycle rides and more
Im sure you are at the beach right now
Enjoying the sand and shore

You liked taking walks and skiing
Anything outdoors
Camping, hiking, biking
Mountain Dew and smores

The flicker of a bonfire
The smell of pine in the trees
The butterfly swirling in the wind
We will think of you with these

You took a small square building
And made it into a home
Like the patchwork of a quilt
Little by little sewn

By one test in an office
You made sure you had our back
The family gift you gave us
Your love it never lacked

With Stevie by your side
You are watching over us
You both are probably saying,
Gee, what is all the fuss?

You kept your sense of humor
Even when you were sick
I dont think there isnt one of us
Who didnt get the stick

As hard as it will be
Our lives here must go on
Each and every person that knows you
Shares a special bond

We had you for 38 years
Never enough we say
You will be missed by friends and family
Each and every day

You were a best friend, awesome sister
A great daughter and mother
You are irreplacable
There will never be another

You would not want us to mourn
But celebrate your life
We will see you in the rainbows of the day
And in the stars at night

You left your song unfinished
There was much more to be sung
The chorus will never be the same
The song will never be done

A special place in Heaven for you
Had to be prepared
He saw that you were tired
But no detail could be spared

Rest peaceful finally our beautiful angel
No longer will you feel pain
No longer will you suffer
Your life was not in vain

I will love you and miss you forever and always my sweet baby sister

I am so sorry to hear about your daughter's death. I was on vacation for 2 weeks and when I got back my dad, Robert Sheriff, told me.  Please call me at 717-514-4152 if you would like to talk sometime.

 Cathy Sheriff

I find it so very hard to believe that you have gone

 and I must grieve

; I call out your name-- you answer not,

and I look for you in every familiar spot

.Everything seems so strange and surreal,

I ask everyday is it a dream or is it real.

I look at your smiling face in all my photos,

memories flood my mind as I touch the momentos

From the happy times you and I have had,

But now these bring tears and make me sad.

For the time together went by in a wink,

Life was not as long as we'd like to think.

Although I cry and stand grief-stricken by your grave,

I promise not to forget the loving memories you gave.

But still I miss you so very much my sister dear,

and your caring words I once again long to hear

My hearts only solace is one day I will see you as before,

Beckoning me to come join you on the white distant shore.

Loretta can it really be that you have been gone two months.

I miss you and our talks so much.

How can it be that I am so heartbroken and selfishly cry,

I should rejoice in the fact

that you are free of pain and sorrow.
I know you have been with us in spirit

but it is not the same without you physically here.

I love and miss you so much.

Love forever and always

Vickie Mitsdarfer

Has it really been 5 months since you got your angel wings. I miss you so much little sis. I know you and Stevie are looking down on us and smiling. I think of you every day and miss our talks and phone calls. I wish heaven had a phone number so we could talk and i could hear your voice.

Look for our gift this afternoon.

Love you.

Vickie, Brian and Gavin
