William L. Gouse, 87, of Boiling Springs, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011, at home. He was born on Friday,
May 25, 1923, in Carlisle and was a son of the late John A. and Edith (Hoke) Gouse.
Bill was the owner of the former Bill Gouse Auto Sales in Boiling Springs for over 50 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran
of WWII. He was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Carlisle and he enjoyed the outdoors, reading western novels
and flying his plane.
Bill is survived by two nieces; Lisa M. Minnich of Boiling Springs and Amy L. Minnich (and her companion, Joseph S. Shovlin)
of Boiling Springs, his brother, Frank M. Gouse of Hamilton, MT, his sister, Mary Barzda of Boiling Springs and several nieces
and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Harry V., James R. And John B. Gouse and a sister, Edith A. Minnich.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, On the Square,
Carlisle. Rev. Canon Mark A. Scheneman will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Burial will be private.
