Robert W. Kerr, 65, of Carlisle, loving husband
and father, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on Tuesday, May 15, 1945,
in Carlisle, a son of Rosamond S. (Mayberry) Kerr of Carlisle and the late John R. Kerr, Jr.
Bob was a 1963 graduate of Carlisle High School.
He retired in 2008 as a foreman on the mold line after 44 years of service with Carlisle Tire and Wheel Co. He was a member
of the Mosquito Creek Sportsman’s Club, a social member of V.F.W. Post 8386 and the Block Camp, all of Frenchville.
Bob was also a member of the Eagles Aerie 1299, Moose Lodge 761 and the White Circle Club, all of Carlisle and the Carlisle
Fish and Game Association. Bob was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife
of 40 years, E. Carol (Goodhart) Kerr, sons; David A. Kerr of Newville and Ron (and his wife, Michelle) Kerr of Carlisle,
daughter, Elizabeth A. (and her husband, Jeffrey) Seibert of Carlisle, brothers; Edward Kerr of Harrisburg, Andrew Kerr of
Newville, J. Michael Kerr of Richmond, VA and James Kerr of Newville, six grandchildren; Hannah, Zach, Aaron, Derek, Alexus
and Morganne, a great-granddaughter, Mia and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate Bob’s
life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2011, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle,
with Rev. Lynn R. Schultz officiating. Burial will be private. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at
the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer
Society, 3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110-1342.
