Kathryn M. Steinour, 84, of Carlisle, passed
away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at the Thornwald Home, Carlisle. She was born on Monday, April 5, 1926, in Carlisle, a daughter
of the late Ralph Mellott and Effie (Rice) Mellott Thumma and the widow of Richard L. Steinour, who died May 9, 1990.
She was a 1944 graduate of Boiling Springs High
School and retired from the former Reeves-Hoffman, Inc., Carlisle after 25 years of service. Kathryn is a member of St. Paul
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle and a former active member of the South Middleton Twp. Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. She
enjoyed going on bus trips, gardening, working in her yard and a special love for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Ronald L. Steinour
(and his wife, Sharon) of Carlisle, daughter, Karen K. Sanders (and her husband, Neil) also of Carlisle, four grandchildren;
Matthew, Jonathan (and his wife, Abby) and Kristen Sanders and Adam Moschette, one great-grandson, Noah Sanders, a sister-in-law,
Dorothy Mellott of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Harold Mellott and
sister, Esther Nelson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March
7, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Robert Seibold officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Holly Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until times of services. Memorial
contributions may be made to Bosler Memorial Library, 158 W. High St., Carlisle, PA 17013.
