Shirley A. Coleman, 71, of Carlisle, passed away
on Monday, February 21, 2011, at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Saturday, December 9, 1939, in Carlisle,
a daughter of the late John and Sarah (Bowermaster) Kiehl and the widow of Paul E. Coleman, who died July 19, 2009.
Shirley graduated from Boiling Springs High School.
She retired from the former Carlisle Hospital after 20 years of service as a switchboard operator. She was a member of St.
Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle and the American Business Women’s Association.
She is survived by two daughters; Suzette Pettit
(and her husband, Steve) of Carlisle and Paula C. Hutchison (and her husband, Dana) of York, a brother, John Kiehl of Colorado,
a sister, Lenora Kiehl of Carlisle, four grandchildren; Sarah, Shelly and John Paul Pettit, USMC and Owen Hutchison.
Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Kiehl and a sister, Christine Woods.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday,
February 25, 2011, at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Robert Seibold will officiate. Burial
will be private. Viewing will be on Friday from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home and fellowship will immediately
follow the services at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St.
Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Louther St., Carlisle, PA 17013d or to The Shirley Coleman Donation Account, c/o
Member's 1st Federal Credit Union, Carlisle Crossing, 321 York Rd., Carlisle, PA 17013.

Gone are the fun days of school, Saturday afternoon
matinees at the Carlisle Theater, the laughter of our childhood and innocence. Peace be yours.
