
Harry L. Moyer, 74, of Carlisle, passed away
on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at his home. He was born on Sunday, May 10, 1936, in Harrisburg, and was a son of the late John
F. Moyer and Emma E. (Adam) Moyer Pipp.
Harry retired from Land O Lakes, Inc., Carlisle
after more than 20 years of service. He also had farmed in the area for many years. Harry loved gardening, doing yard work
and being in the great outdoors.
He is survived by his loving and devoted companion
of nearly 20 years, Vivian L. Warner, a daughter, Darla F. Ptaszek of Boiling Springs, a son, Daniel R. Moyer of Dillsburg,
four sisters; Janice Dukes of Newark, DE, Ruth Anna Heckman of Mercersburg, Naomi Hofstetter of Mt. Joy and Carol Thompson
of Landisville, one grandson, Mitchell Ptaszek and many nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra
Moyer, who died in 1981 and two brothers; Fred and Darwin Moyer.
Funeral services to celebrate Harry’s life
will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor
Wayne R. Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Young’s United Methodist Church Cemetery, Shermansdale. Viewing will
be on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society,
3211 N. Front Street, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110-1342.

I will always remember Harry for the warm hearted person
he was. Harry was the type of person who would do anything to help you if you needed the help. Always giving of
himself to help others. I will miss him.
