Lee Anderson, 85, of Plainfield, passed away
on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on Friday, January 8, 1926, in Dickinson Twp.,
Cumberland County, a son of the late Norman B. and Florence R. (Burkholder) Anderson.
Lee retired after 47 years of service with the
former C. H. Masland & Sons in Carlisle. He was a member of the Good Shepherd Community United Methodist Church, Carlisle,
and he enjoyed hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife
of 60 years, Margaret C. (Thumma) Anderson, a daughter, Lisa S. Hockenberry (and her husband, Brian) of Enola, three brothers;
Richard Anderson of Newburg, Ohmer Anderson of Carlisle and Vernon Anderson of Newville, two sisters; Pearl Cassatt and Faye
Brenneman both of Carlisle, two grandchildren, Abby and Adam Hockenberry and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in
death by a brother, Ira Anderson and sisters; F. Alice Brickner, Iva Anderson and Erma Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday,
January 13, 2011 at Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. William E. Pipp officiating. Burial
will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral
home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 4813 Jonestown Rd., Suite 101, Harrisburg,
PA 17109.
