We were not Huck and Tom. We were Jim and Tom but we were the closest thing to Twain's adventuresome duo Carlisle had in the early '60's. We shared the moment in time when boys are learning to become men. It is a time worth remembering with all its euphoric discovery and despite its occasional agonies.
Perhaps we'll meet again along the Letort for some fishing someday.
Rest easy till then, my boyhood friend, rest easy.......... Jim

Tom,
I think back to all of the time we spent together when I was just a little girl, devoting time to take me to swimming lessons.  You were a very loving, giving, gentle uncle.  The world was so blessed by your beautiful poetry.  A true intellectual.  You will always remain in our hearts.  I LOVE YOU TOM!

Love,
Little Ann ;)
