Jean M. Kayser, 61, of Camp Hill, passed away
on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in Towson, MD. She was born on Monday, April 18, 1949, in Algona,
Iowa, a daughter of Martha C. (Thilges) Kayser of St. Joseph, IA and the late Herbert J. Kayser.
Jean graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School
in Algona, IA and earned her Bachelors degree in teaching from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She taught French and Spanish
for several years in Emmetsburg, IA and later on worked for the Cargill Company in Minneapolis, MN for 23 years. After being
relocated to the Camp Hill area with Cargill, Jean became a licensed dealer with the Butter Braid products and started the
Freckled Moose Fundraising, which she owned and operated for the past 10 years in Camp Hill. Jean also had a vested interest
in Nutri-Innovations LLC in Rogers, Minnesota. Jean was of Catholic faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by
five brothers; Peter Kayser of St. Joseph, IA, William Kayser of Sioux Falls, SD, Jerome Kayser of Humbolt, IA, Howard Kayser
of West Bend, IA and Richard Kayser also of West Bend and many nieces and nephews. Jean was also preceded in death by one
brother, Charles Kayser.
A celebration of Jean’s life will be held
at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3, 2010 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Dwight
D. Schlaline officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until time of the services. Burial will be at a later date
in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Joseph, IA.
