Bruce H. Mizell, 70, of Carlisle, died Thursday, October 21, 2010, in the Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center,
Carlisle. He was born on Tuesday, November 28, 1939, in Charleston, South Carolina, a son of the late Monroe H. and
Martha C. (Mizell) Mizell. He was married to the late Edith L. (Warehime) Mizell, who died March 18, 2005.
Bruce
retired from the former S. L. Abrasives, Inc., Carlisle after 38 years of service. He attended Mechanicsburg High School
and was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses-Carlisle Congregation. In the 1960's, Bruce was a weightlifter and competed
in bodybuilding with York Barbell. He also competed in horseshoe throwing and loved music and singing.
He is
survived by a son, Clinton E. Mizell of Carlisle, a sister, Mary Ellen Schlusser of Carlisle, two half-sisters; Laurie Frey
of Newburg and Wendy Wirfel of Dillsburg and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Ronald
D., David D. and Daniel D. Mizell and a half-sister, Betty Permel.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday,
October 25, 2010, in the Westminster Memorial Gardens, Newville Rd., Carlisle, with Elder Ed Dorsey officiating. There
will be no viewing or visitation. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of arrangements.

I worked with Bruce for 34 years. He was a good guy
that I considered a good friend and was a pleasure to work with.
