Jack L. Arnold, 56, of Shippensburg, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side on Saturday, October 16, 2010. He was born on Friday, October 8, 1954 in Harrisburg and was a son of the late Joseph F., Sr. and Geraldine (Houser) Arnold.

Jack was a 1972 graduate of Carlisle High School and was employed for over 36 years as a coordinator for PPG Industries. Jack’s hobbies included hunting and restoring and driving his Model T’s. The love of his life, other than his wife, children and grandchildren were his Model T cars and his restored 1936 Hahn Firetruck. He enjoyed driving the T’s on the club tours on the back roads of Pennsylvania and Maryland. Jack and Cindy toured on National Tours to Florida, Ozark, Missouri and several trips to North Carolina. Their extended family included the members of the Blue and Grey Model T Club. Jack will always be remembered for the love of his family and his passion for his Model T’s.

Arnold of Carlisle, two step-sons; Jacob M. Brenneman of Carlisle and Timothy R. (and his wife, Brianne) Brenneman of Carlisle, six grandchildren, his twin brother, Joseph F. Arnold, Jr. of Carlisle, two sisters; Jolene Peck of Landisburg and Linda Stone of Carlisle and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jack was also predeceased by his brother, Douglas H. Arnold and his sister, Tina M. Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Linda Maifair officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. for immediate family only.

Jack is a great man and we were very lucky to know him. He made our work so much easier when he helped us at SPC. He always asked, "So where's my check?" It was always in the mail. Jack will be very sorrily missed in the Superior Pallet family.
