Patricia A. Kahley, 72, of Carlisle, died Monday, October
4, 2010, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Sunday, February 20, 1938, in Newburg, a daughter of the late
Wayne and Martha E. (Mellott) Thrush and the widow of Robert J. Kahley, who died Sept. 7, 1991.
Pat graduated from Shippensburg High School and had worked
for the former Leg Long Dress Factory in Shippensburg for many years. She also worked for Carlisle Syntec, Inc. in the payroll
department for 16 years. She was a ladies auxiliary member of V.F.W. Post 6168 and American Legion Post 223 both in Shippensburg.
Pat enjoyed making crafts and cross-stitching.
She is survived by two daughters; Vickie (and her husband,
John) Morris of Carlisle and Parris (and her husband, Michael) Keating of Roxbury, two step-sons; Robert and Steven Kahley
both of Philadelphia, a step-daughter, Joanie (and her husband, Randy) Neidigh of Carlisle, five brothers; William Thrush
of Newville, Daniel and Richard Thrush both of Shippensburg, Joseph Thrush of Newburg and Robert Thrush of Carlisle, a sister,
Katherine Worthington, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death
by brothers; James and John Thrush and sisters; Martha Finkey and Jane Bower.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October
8, 2010, in the Green Spring First Church of God, 1140 Green Spring Rd., Newville, with Rev. Philip E. Steele officiating.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services and immediately following the services for a time
of fellowship at the church. Burial will be private in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Ewing Brothers Funeral
