Margie M. Davis, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2010,
in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on Tuesday, November 24, 1925, in Carlisle, a daughter of the late Credie
F. and Nora A. (Schmol) Windemaker and the widow of John G. Davis, who died Oct. 1, 2006.
Margie was a Carlisle High School graduate and had been employed by the
former Carlisle Ribbon Mill for over 30 years as a secretary. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Carlisle.
Margie is survived by two sons; Alan G. (and his wife, Susan) Davis and
Jeff L. (and his wife, Sandy) Davis both of Carlisle, two brothers; Earl Windemaker and Credie Windemaker, II, both of Carlisle,
a sister, Janet Stone of Mechanicsburg, five grandchildren; Kathy Strickland, Alan G. Davis, Jr., Cody Davis, Roni Russell
and Misty Spangler, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by one brother,
Robert Windemaker.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010,
in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Harold "Pete" Posey officiating. Burial will be
in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle. Viewing will be held on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the services. Memorial contributions
may be made to American Diabetes Association, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 202, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
