Charles J. "Junior" Riggleman, 80, of Carlisle, passed away
Sunday, June 20, 2010, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born on Friday, July 5, 1929, in the Newville area, a son
of the late Charles and Laura (Raudabaugh) Riggleman.
Mr. Riggleman retired after 40 years of service as a mechanic
with Carlisle Tire & Rubber Co., and where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Charles enjoyed mechanical work
and fixed and sold cars and lawn mowers for many years at his home. He also enjoyed camping.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years,
Fern E. (Clepper) Riggleman, a son, Glenn E. Riggleman of Carlisle, three daughters; Barbara A. Riggleman of Carlisle, Sharon
L. (and her husband, Bradley) Vaughn of Carlisle and Beverly A. (and her husband, Michael) Conrad of Enola, two brothers;
Clinton Riggleman of Columbia and Curtis Riggleman of Newville, two sisters; Anna Mae Wolfe of Carlisle and Tilly Holloway
of Shermans Dale, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by two sons; Gary and Edward Riggleman, four brothers; Bill, Lee, Dale and Bob and one sister, Marie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday,
June 24, 2010, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Lewis Splain officiating. Burial
will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral
home.

Even though we didn't know each other well nor have
we seen each other in many years, I hope you rest in peace. I only knew you when I was a child but I remember you as
a caring and quiet grandpa.

Prayers for the family. I worked with Jr. at Tire and
rubber and knew Gary and Eddie. Eddie was like a little brother to me. Jr. also lived next to my parents in Newville
as a boy. So sad to hear of his passing.

I remember Grandpa Riggleman as a compassionate and
caring family man with a stern sense of right and wrong. His devotion to family was never unnoticed, even at difficult times.
My fondest memory is Grandpa taking me to my first Orioles baseball game. He will be sadly missed.
