Lloyd C. Heisey, 84, of Dillsburg and formerly of Carlisle, died Monday, May 10, 2010, in his home. He was born on Thursday, September 10, 1925, in Elizabethtown, and was a son of the late Harry and Esther (Landis) Heisey.

Lloyd was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and was the holder of three Bronze Stars. He had worked for the former John Kerchner Rendering Service in Carlisle as a plant manager for over 25 years, and retired from MOPAC Rendering Service Division, which had acquired the Kerchner’s plants. Lloyd was a member of the Christian Life Assembly of God in Camp Hill. He enjoyed camping and was never without his cowboy hat and boots. He was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Heisey.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Betty A. (Sweigart) Heisey, a son, Jeffrey L. (and his wife, Kathleen) Heisey of Carlisle, a daughter, Terri A. (and her husband, Donald) Miller of Gardners, one sister, Dorothy Baker of Elk Grove, CA, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2010, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastors Paul Wislocky and Ron Smith officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. A viewing will be held on Monday from 9:30 a.m until time of the services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Central PA, P.O. Box 266, Enola, PA 17025.

We are very saddened to hear of "uncle Lloyd"s passing. I will carry very fond memories of his many stories of him and his boots. I'll never forget why they are pointed and the many stories of him and my father.
