Miriam C. Failor, 85, of Carlisle, died on Thursday, April 15, 2010, in
the Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on Saturday, February 14, 1925, in Mt. Holly Springs, and was a daughter
of the late Harold and Eliza (Osborne) Vanasdalan. Miriam was married to the late David A. Failor, Sr., who died February
18, 2007.
Miriam was a loving and devoted homemaker. She was preceded in death by
sisters; Sara Henry and Ruby Hartzell Myers and one brother, Charles Vanasdalan.
She is survived by four sons; David A., Jr. (and his wife, Violet) Failor
of Carlisle, Rodney L., Sr. (and his wife, Linda) Failor of Newville, Westley E., Sr. (and his wife, Beverly) Failor of Loysville
and Michael L., Sr. (and his wife, Darlene) Failor of Carlisle, two daughters; Audrey J. (and her husband, William) Adams
of Plant City, FL and Vickie L. (and her husband, Albert) Frye of Bowling Green, KY, three sisters; Mae Powell of Mt. Holly
Springs, Annabelle McLaughlin of Carlisle and Clovia Markle of Middletown, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren,
nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in
the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Harry Madison officiating. Burial will be Cumberland
Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Viewing will be on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
