Dorothy S. Kuhn, 85, of Carlisle, peacefully passed away on Wednesday,
March 17, 2010, in Claremont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle. She was born on Wednesday, March 11,
1925, in Upper Frankford Twp., a daughter of the late Lemuel G. and Minnie E. (Stevens) Salisbury, and the widow of Leon C.
Kuhn, who died July 3, 1979.
Dorothy attended Newville High School and had worked in retail sales for a number of years. She also
did babysitting and she enjoyed being a homemaker.
She is survived by her loving daughters; Violet L. (and her husband, David) Failor and Audrey C. "Peachie"
(and her husband, Robert) Neal both of Carlisle, a sister, Violet Rossmiller of Aurora, CO, four grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews whom Dorothy loved dearly. She was
preceded in death by four sisters; Mary Miller, Mildred Weidner, Goldie Goldsmith and Madeline Yeada and four brothers; Charles,
Lloyd, Melvin and Herman Salisbury.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630
S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Rev. Lewis Splain will officiate. Viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until
time of services. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery, Carlisle.
