Charles N. J. "Chuck" Mick Carver, 51, of Harrisburg and
formerly of Carlisle, died from injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday, March 6, 2010, in the M. S. Hershey Medical
Center. He was born on Sunday, July 6, 1958, in Louisville, KY, and is a son of Olie A. Mick and Norma (Carver) Mick of Carlisle.
Chuck attended Carlisle High School and received his G.E.D.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and owned and operated his own handyman business in the Harrisburg area for many years.
He enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with his family.
Chuck was a leader, devoted husband, loving father of four
sons and one daughter, unforgettable brother and irreplaceable son, who touched the lives of everyone he came in contact with.
He loved his wife and family more than words can describe and he cherished his four chihuahuas and two German shepherds. He
was a dedicated biker/motorcyclist who lived to ride. Harleys were his passion and you couldn’t keep him away from a
bike if you tried. He was a "walk-down-the-street-and-talk-to-everyone-in-his-path" kind of guy, who always lived in the moment.
"Live for today, not for tomorrow" was his way of life. Without hesitation he would give the shirt off his back and would
always offer a helping hand. Always a giver, he brought love, life, excitement and laughter into the lives of many and he
will never be forgotten. The world will never be the same without you, Chuck. You were taken too soon in our eyes, but God
has his plans for you. I miss you Charlie, Love always and forever, Your Angel.
He is survived by his wife, Debra J. (Moharter) Carver, his
sons; Corey E. Adams of Carlisle, Travis, Ira and Spencer, a daughter, Meranda Carver of Harrisburg, a brother, Al Mick of
Carlisle, three sisters; Joann Dixon and Barbara Mick both of Carlisle and Betty Pendry of Sophia, NC, a granddaughter, Cadince
M. Adams and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March
12, 2010, in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Don Watkins officiating. Burial will
be private. A visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until time of services and immediately following the services
at "The Depot" at Dickinson College, Carlisle. Memorials can be made to the Lupus Foundation of America, Inc., 2000 "L" St.,
N.W., Suite 710, Washington, DC 20036.

Mick and Norma, I don't know if you remember
me or not, but I used to come to your house quite often growing up. I've known Chuck since high school and we've kept in
touch thru the years. I was shocked to read of his passing yesterday. As badly as I feel, I can only imagine what you two
are going through. Will do my very best to make it to Carlisle for visitation and services. Again, I am so sorry.
