Bertha Doris M. (Young) Boytim, 80, of Carlisle, passed away peacefully
on Sunday, March 7, 2010, in Carlisle Regional Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. She was born on Thursday,
March 6, 1930, in Plainfield, and was a daughter of the late Guy L. Young and Emma (March) Young Deitch.
Doris retired from AMP Inc., Carlisle, after 30 years of service.
She also enjoyed helping her son with his business by answering the phone and setting appointments. She was a former
longtime member of the Plainfield First Church of God. She enjoyed traveling, camping, the beach, tending her flower
garden and especially spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Doris is survived and will be missed by her devoted husband of 42
years, Gerald E. Boytim, a son, Larry (and his wife, Trudy) Adams of Carlisle, four daughters; Connie Lebo of Carlisle, Shirley
(and her husband, Steven) Bowman of Carlisle, GeorgAnn (and her husband, Dale) Flora of Boiling Springs and Brenda Bailey
of Carlisle, two brothers; Glenn Young of Plainfield and Donald Young of Newville, 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters; Beulah Hoffman, Thelma
Akers, Janet Tichnell and Mildred Hurley, two brothers, Guy Wayne Young and Lee Young, two sons-in-law; Jeff Bailey and James
Lebo, a grandson, Troy Bailey and a great-granddaughter, Serena Jo Petro.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010,
in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle. Pastor Dale H. Miller, Jr. will officiate. A
viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens
at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Building #2, Suite
321, 2001 N. Front St., Harrisburg, PA 17102.

you all. Doris was such a nice person. Even when we wouldn't see you guys for years, she would always act as though we had
just spoken last week. I had just found out a couple of weeks ago from Brenda's sister-in-law Kate, that Doris had been ill.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I miss "all" of Mom & Dad's camping family!! You were part of my
family for many, many years.
