Jane O. Warner, 86, of Carlisle, passed away with her family
by her side on Friday, February 19, 2010, in her home. She was born on Thursday, November 8, 1923, in Dickinson Twp., Cumberland
County and was a daughter of the late George C. and Zora O. (Seiders) Deihl. Jane was the widow of Charles W. Warner, who
was killed in action while serving in the U. S. Army during WWII.
Jane graduated from Opossum Hill School, a one room schoolhouse.
She retired from Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle after 26 years of service as a dietary aid. Jane also had worked at the
former Carlisle Hospital and farmed the family farm in Lower Frankford Twp. Jane formerly attended Opossum Hill Union Church,
Carlisle. She enjoyed gardening and playing with her three great-granddaughters. Jane was preceded in death by one granddaughter,
Julie A. Warner-Idani, four brothers; Clark, Raymond, John and Lee Deihl and two sisters; Annie Rynard and Grace Wilson.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Charlet A. Warner
with whom Jane lived, two granddaughters; Jamie S. (and her husband, Nathan) Swartz of New Bloomfield and Jackie L. Warner
of Carlisle, three great-granddaughters; Nicole Swartz and Emily and Julie Rohrer.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February
23, 2010 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Randall L. Zook officiating. Burial will
be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of
the services.
