Donald C. Frey, 84, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010,
in the Carlisle Regional Medical Center. He was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Shippensburg, and was a son of the late John C. and
Lula (Hancock) Frey.
Don farmed in the Newville area for over 40 years. After retiring from
farming, he began working for the former Ernest Shover’s Farm Equipment Sales and Service on W. South St. in Carlisle,
where he was a lawn mower and farm equipment mechanic. Don was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church and the PA
Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Violet (Cramer) Frey, who died in 1984, six brothers and four sisters.
Don is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janet L. (Eyler) Frey, one son,
Donald C., Jr. (and his wife, Coralee) Frey of Camp Hill, a daughter, Linda M. (and her husband, William) Arnold of Gardners,
a sister, Janet Finkey of Shippensburg, one step-son, two step-daughters, 3 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren,
4 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 11 a.m.
in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor John Kurtz officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland
Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.

I'm Sorry that I was unble to come to Uncle Don's Funeral. I would like to remember the good times of him. Uncle Don
was a wonderful person. He was always doing something with you would visit him. He was a busy man.
