Dorothy "Dot" J. Steele, 88, of Gardners, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home.  She was born on August 31, 1930 in Carlisle and was a daughter of the late James E. and Ethel (Bixler) Raudabaugh and the widow of Herbert L. Steele who passed away on February 22, 1993.

Dot retired from Claremont Nursing & Rehab. Center and Forest Park Health Center both of Carlisle.  She was a C.N.A. for many years.  Dot formerly attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Carlisle.

She is survived by one daughter, Diane K. Porter of Gardners, two brothers; James W. Raudabaugh and Danny L. Raudabaugh both of Carlisle, three grandchildren; Kellijo K. Bailey of Gardners, Dale R. Bailey, Jr. of Carlisle and Lucas M. Erbacher of Gardners, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by one son, Richard L. Hefelfinger, one sister, Arlene F. Raudabaugh and one son-in-law, John L. Porter.

A graveside service will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, 1921 Ritner Highway, Carlisle with Pastor Lewis Splain officiating.  Arrangements by Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle.  www.Since1853.com.
