Gladys B. Morehouse, 87, of Mt. Holly Springs,
passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at her son’s home. She was born on April 3, 1931 in Dry
Run, Franklin County and was a daughter of the late John F. and Margaret I. (Price) Seibert. She was the
widow of Raymond M. Morehouse, Sr., who passed away on April 28, 1996.
Gladys was a 1950 graduate of Shippensburg High
School and a 1951 graduate of the former Carlisle Hospital School of Practical Nursing. She was employed
at the Carlisle Hospital and retired in 1989 after 33 years of service at the Dunham Army Health Clinic at Carlisle Barracks.
Following her retirement, Gladys worked part-time at the former Nell’s Grocery Store along the Walnut Bottom
Road, Carlisle. She was of Protestant faith and was a member of AARP. She is survived by
one son, John T. Morehouse and his fiancé, Deborah (Jacoby) Weidner of Carlisle, two brothers; Paul H. Seibert of Shippensburg
and Kenneth Lee Seibert of Carlisle, two sisters; Pauline Hinkle of Shippensburg and Jane Allamen of Gettysburg, three grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one son, Raymond M. Morehouse, Jr., one granddaughter,
Sharon A. Williams, one great-grandson, Isaiah Ramon Sanchez, five brothers; Robert I., James A., John F., Fred and Don Seibert
and one sister, Mary Louise Phenicie. A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 followed
by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. Daniel Mikesell
officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to Hospice of Central Pa, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg Pa 17110 c/o Gladys Morehouse.
