
Olive L. Horner, passed away on Thursday,
December 20, 2018 at Cumberland Crossings, Carlisle. She was born in Harrisburg and was a daughter of the
late Robert B. and Helen E. (Wilson) Hollar, and the widow of the late Francis L. Horner, Sr., who passed away on July 31,
2004. Olive was retired from the former Hills Department Store in Camp Hill after
19 years of service. She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Dillsburg, where she was
an active choir member and worked in the church’s thrift shop. Olive enjoyed volunteering at New
Hope Ministries and Mission Central. In addition, she was a member of NARFE. She is survived by
two sons; Jerry D. (wife, Rena) and Francis L. Jr. (wife, Sheri), one daughter, Christine M. (husband, Robert) Choinski, four
sisters; Judy Hair, Esther Brandt, Ruth Hollar and Maxine Baish, one brother, Robert Hollar, three grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one brother, Richard Hollar and three sisters; Roberta Weiser,
Edna Nace, and Dorothy Foster. A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2018 followed
by funeral services at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev. John Estes officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to

I am so sorry to hear of Aunt Ollie's passing.
She was a blessing and a true gift for my mom when she was sick. May God wrap her in his arms.
