
Harry E. Conrad, 93, of Shermans Dale,
passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Stonebridge Health & Rehabilitation Center in Duncannon.
He was born on January 7, 1925 in Shermans Dale and was a son of the late William H. and Viola E. (Kerns) Conrad Woodward.
Harry was married for 70 years to the late Pauline V. (Brunner) Conrad, who passed away on March 25, 2017. Harry was a truck driver for 20 years with
Daily Motor Express, he owned and operated the former Conrad Arco Automotive Station in Carlisle for 7 years and worked as
the service manager with the former W. L. S. Motors in Carlisle. Harry retired from the former Dauphin
Oil Co., Carlisle. Harry was a member Young’s United Methodist Church in Shermans Dale. He is survived by one daughter, Diane (and
her husband, Lester) Anderson, two sons; Harry J. (and his wife, Barbara) Conrad and Rodger A. (and his wife, Mary) Conrad,
all of Shermans Dale, two sisters; June Renshaw of Enola and Esther Barrick of Colorado, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren,
2 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Ronald E. Conrad,
two brothers; Howard and Robert Conrad and three sisters, Betty Smith, Margaret Searight and Helen Rider. A viewing will begin
at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 followed by funeral services at 1:30 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Travis Alshouse officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Memorial
Gardens, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha Class at Young’s United Methodist

My
thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I have very fond memories of Harry. He was a very loving and caring
person. He was a wonderful grandfather to my children. I will miss him dearly. Connie Motter
