She was a member of the Mareen Duvall Society of Anne Arundel County, Maryland. She was also a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Fitzhugh Lee Chapter, in Frederick, Maryland. Peggy was a former member of the Carlisle Garden Club and the Cumberland County Historical Society where she was named 1998’s Volunteer of the Year. She spent many summers working on the gardens at Two Mile House re-designing areas for new plantings and garden events. She was a member of First United Church of Christ, Carlisle.

Peggy is survived by a son, Robert L. Grove of Boiling Springs and his children; Keith Grove, Ralph and Rick Thomas and Robin Sollenberger; two daughters; Patresa S. (husband, Terrence) Seaford of Carlisle and their children; Aaron and Tirzah Seaford and Javette D.
