Ray E. “Bud” Greeger, Jr., 75, of Carlisle, died on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Harrisburg Hospital.  He was born on April 3, 1943 in Upper Darby and was the son of the late Ray E., Sr. and Grace (McCune) Greeger.

Ray graduated in 1961 from Haverford High School in Havertown.  He attended Drexel University and Temple University both of Philadelphia.  Ray served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Firestone as the Eastern Corridor Sale Representative after many years of service.  He formerly attended The Meeting House in Carlisle.  He was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs American Legion and the Carlisle Masonic Lodge 260.  As a young man, Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Martha Jane (Brehm) Greeger, two sons; Brett A. Greeger and Bradley R. Greeger both of Carlisle, four grandchildren; Garrett, Bailey, Evan and Abrielle Greeger and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two sisters; Alice G. Pfeffer and Carolyn G. Taylor.

A viewing will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating.  Burial with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.  www.Since1853.com

I worked with Ray at Napa he was a real nice person. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I  did not that he passed un til recently. One of the other drivers told me about it sorry to hear about it.
