Steven Paul Shenk, age 65, of Camp Hill, crossed over the bridge for the last time on May 6, 2018.  Born in 1952 in Carlisle, PA, he was the son of the late Paul J. Shenk of Carlisle. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Shenk of Carlisle and his sister, Karen Shenk (Virginia Hess) of Harrisburg.

Steve was a 1970 graduate of Carlisle High School. He had been employed by the former AMP Incorporated in both Carlisle and Harrisburg for nearly 27 years. In recent years, he had been a delivery driver for DriveKore, Royer's Flowers and Capital Tuxedo.

Steve was a train enthusiast as well as a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed photographing covered bridges and was a long-time member of the Theodore Burr Covered Bridge Society of Pennsylvania.

Conforming to Steve's request, there will be no services. Burial will be private and will take place at the discretion of the family.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Pennsylvania, 1701 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.  www.Since1853.com.

Steve and I shared an apartment for one year in 1973 before I moved to Philadelphia. He was a great guy and a good friend and I am saddened by his passing. Condolences to all his family and his many friends.
Dr. John D. Pfeiffer
Denny, sorry about your loss. I remember all the good times your dad, Mentzer, and you had hanging out at the Lone Star. The thing I remember most about your dad was his smile. He will be missed. Wishing you and your family peace during this trying time.

-A friend always,
Tom Costopoulos
