Thelma L. Godlove, 90, of Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday,
April 24, 2018 at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community, Carlisle. She was born on January 27, 1928
in Newville and was a daughter of the late Cyrus J. and Cora A. (Mayberry) Morrison and was the widow of Glenn F. Godlove
who passed away on Sept. 11, 1999.
Thelma worked at the former Bedford & Carlisle Shoe Companies as well as Maslands.
She retired after 50 years of service as the snack bar attendant at Cumberland Golf Club, Carlisle. She was a member
of Newville First Church of God. Thelma enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens.
She is survived by one son, Marlin J. (Emily) Godlove of
Dayton, OH, two daughters; Virginia G. (Ed) Hurley and Dawn G. (Steve) Calaman both of Carlisle, one brother, Floyd Morrison
of Carlisle, 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by one sister, Pauline Morrison and three brothers; Ray, James, and Earl Morrison.
A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 followed by funeral
services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Rev. Richard Noggle officiating.
Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made
