
Panagiotis “Peter” C. Petsinis,
74, of Shippensburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at M. S. Hershey Medical Center. He was born
on January 10, 1944 in Ampelakiotissa, Greece and was a son of the late Hristos A. and Stavroula (Koustoyianni) Petsinis. Peter and his wife owned and operated the former Rustic Inn, Shippensburg
for more than 20 years. After retirement, he assisted his sons with their Carlisle restaurants, the “Rustic
Tavern” and the “North Hanover Grill”. Peter was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Greek
Orthodox Cathedral in Camp Hill. Peter was a social member of the Chambersburg American Legion.
He was an avid golfer, loved spending time with his grandchildren, taking care of his family and was a friend to many. He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Vasiliki “Vicki”
(Balafoutas) Petsinis, one daughter, Lula Petsinis-Papantoniou and her husband, Ioannis of Shippensburg, two sons; Chris (wife,
Teri) Petsinis and Tom (wife, Penny) Petsinis, both of Carlisle, one brother, Costa Petsinis and one sister, Eleni Margonis,
both of Montreal, Canada, nine grandchildren; Vasoula, Kalliopi, Athanasia, Kia, Peter and George Petsinis and Vicki, Penny
and Billy Papantoniou and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Nicholas and
Athanasios Petsinis and one sister, Maria Amanatidis. A
viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 followed by funeral services at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Trinity
Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1000 Yverdon Dr., Camp Hill, PA 17011 with Rev. Michael Varvarelis officiating. Burial
will be in Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to Iera Moni Panagias in
Ampelakiotissa, Greece, C/O his church. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.
