
Janet Pearl (Bailey) Griffie, 81, of Carlisle,
passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Pinnacle-Carlisle. She was born on Sept. 10, 1936 in Lower Mifflin
Twp. and was a daughter of the late William and Pearl (Jumper) Bailey and the widow of Donald L. Griffie, who passed away
May 26, 1990. Janet was
a loving homemaker and loved gardening. She formerly attended the Brethren in Christ Church, Carlisle. She is survived by one son, Larry Gene (wife, Jean)
Griffie of Newfield, NJ, two daughters; Tammy Lee (Griffie) (husband, Dennis) Melisaskas and Sherry Griffie, both of Carlisle,
three brothers; William, Thomas and Ralph Bailey, one sister, Velma Burkholder and many nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by five brothers; Paul, Joseph, Eugene, James and Harold Bailey and five sisters; Darlene Bailey, Kathleen
Mixell, Esther Noll, Elsie Clement and Dorothy Hossler. A visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April
13, 2018 followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle with Rev.
Barbara Albert officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
