John W. Kulp, 92, of Carlisle, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Cumberland Crossings Retirement Community in Carlisle,  He was born on October 10, 1925 in Perkasie in Bucks County and was the son of the late John and Marian (Bowen) Kulp and was married to the late Carolyn (Hocking) Kulp, who passed away on September 11, 2011.

John was a high school graduate and a US Navy veteran of WWII.  He earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Penn State University in 1949 and where he played on the college basketball team.  John was a retired industrial product sales representative.  He was of Lutheran faith, and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels in Carlisle and at Cumberland Crossings.

He is survived by two sons; John H. (wife, Gina) Kulp of Scottsdale, AZ and Michael B. Kulp of New York City and one grandson, John L. Kulp of Brooklyn, NY

Services will be private.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements.
