Doris J. Wilson, 84, of Carlisle and formerly
of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services, Carlisle. She
was born on May 18, 1933 in Waynesboro, and was a daughter of the late Wilmer and Beulah (Smith) Slaybaugh.
Doris graduated from Biglerville High School with the Class of 1951.
She retired after 34 years of service with the Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg. Doris
was a member of Mt. Olivet United Brethren in Christ Church in Aspers.
She is survived by two sons; Merle “Bill” Wilson of Lebanon
and Randy Wilson of Lewisberry, three daughters; Diane (husband, Scott) Shreiner of Carlisle, Carol Snyder of Avenel, NJ and
JoAnn (husband, Steven) Morton of Mechanicsburg, 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, George Slaybaugh and one sister, Pauline Wonders.
A viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 followed by funeral
services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Chaplain Brian Percy officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
