
David L. “PeeWee” Harrison,
85, of Newville, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at home with loving family by his side. He
was born on March 18, 1932 in Carlisle, and was raised by his late grandmother, Millicent Husler. Dave retired after 45 years of service with Carlisle Syntec.
He then worked part-time with the former Morrison Lawn Mower Repair and the former Peterman’s Farm Equipment,
both of Carlisle. He was a member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg. He is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Shirley L. (Fenton) Harrison,
two daughters; Virginia (husband, Paul) McCalister and Nancy (husband, Gene) Mentzer, both of Newville, four grandchildren;
Jason Dick (companion, Shyla Rakers) of Newville, Sheila Gettle of Shippensburg, Michele Donovan (fiancé, Bob Lloyd,
II) of Newville and Billie Jo (husband, Mark) Kottmyer of Newville, 11 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Fred L. Harrison, Sr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral
Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Donald Yeagle officiating. Burial will be in Centerville
Memorial Park, Newville, with fellowship immediately following at the Centerville Lutheran Church. A viewing
will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of the
