Linda D. Amsley, 72, of Carlisle, passed away on Sunday, November
19, 2017 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born on April 9, 1945
in Chambersburg, and was the daughter of the late Drew M. and Isabelle (Sackman) Diffenderfer.
Linda was a 1963 graduate of Chambersburg High School and was currently employed with Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, where
she was Director of Marketing and Admissions. She was a faithful employee for 17 years with Chapel Pointe.
Linda was a member of the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce and the Carlisle Downtown Business Women’s Association.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and her son’s Labradoodle, Dave.
She is survived by one son, Todd D. (and his wife, Beth) Amsley of Carlisle, one daughter, Heather L. (and
her husband, Keith) Dils of Cranberry Twp., PA and five grandchildren; Drew and Connor Amsley and Evan, Abigail and Olivia
Dils.
A visitation will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 24, 2017 followed by a memorial service
at 1:30 p.m. in the Henry Chapel in Chapel Pointe at Carlisle, 770 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Rev. Walt Frankenberry officiating.
A time of fellowship will follow the services. Burial will be private. Ewing
Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in
