Roy G. Kennedy, 97, formerly of Mt. Holly Springs, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.  He was born on October 25, 1920 in Leechburg, PA, and was a son of the late George S. and Anna M. (Swank) Kennedy.

Roy graduated from New Kensington High School in 1939.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was the recipient of one Battle Star.  Roy retired in 1982 from PPG Industries, Carlisle after 31 years of service.  He was a member of the Mt. Holly Springs American Legion.

Roy's remains were laid to rest with full military honors on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.  Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle, was in charge of the arrangements.  www.Since1853.com.

He worked at PPG...where I meant him..a very quiet soul..I would always speak to him and soon he never failed to say hello or ask about Fred..or how was I..he liked to walk a lot..in Mt Holly after he retired.. He was a nice man.. and a gentle soul....may he rest in peace..
