Margaret A. Lay, 71, formerly of Bloserville, died on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Fox Subacute, Mechanicsburg.  She was born Wednesday, September 18, 1946 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late William Kenneth Weigle, and Sylvia E. (Steigleman) Weigle.

She was a graduate of Big Spring High School, Newville with the class of 1964.  Peggy worked 35 years with former Kinney Shoe Co. and 5 years at the former Carlisle Hospital.  She was a former member of St. Mary's United Methodist in Bloserville.  Peggy loved playing "Bingo", loved going to the beach and attending the Bloomsburg Fair.

She is survived by one daughter, Chris R. (husband, Wayne) Hovermill of Carlisle and many nieces and nephew.  She was preceded in death by one brother, William K. Weigle, Jr. and two sisters; Donna Noss and Barbara Stum.

A visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017 followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St, Carlisle, with Pastor Mark Sweeney officiating.  Burial will be private.  www.Since1853.com

So sorry to have heard about Margaret's passing. I will not be able to attend the services but would like to meet with her survivors in the near future. I am sad that I did not get to talk with Margaret .
