
John Rodriguez, 66, of Carlisle, entered eternal rest on Friday,
July 28, 2017 at his home. He was born on December 22, 1950 in Bronx, New York, and was a son of the late
Eulogia Martinez and Juan Rodriguez.
John graduated in 1969 from William
Howard Taft High School in New York and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from City College of New York.
He also studied at Dickinson School of Law and held a Paralegal Certificate from Queen College in New York.
John worked for U. S. Air for many years. He attended Bethel Assembly of God in Carlisle and was
actively involved with Aspira Inc., which is a non-profit organization dedicated to hispanic education.
John
is survived by his beloved siblings; Hidalia (husband, Angelo) Suarez of Tampa, FL, Emma (husband, Edgar) Poe of St. Charles,
MO, Noel (wife, Janet) Rodriguez of Carlisle, Albert (wife, Josephine) Rodriguez of Bronx, NY and Edwin Rodriguez of New Cumberland
and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by one brother, George Rodriguez.
A
viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers
Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Chuck Kish officiating. Burial will be in Westminster
Cemetery, Carlisle. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
