Chong O. Lee, 78, of Newville, passed away on Thursday,
July 20, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services in Carlisle. She was born on April 3, 1939 in Busan, South Korea,
and was a daughter of the late Sung Kyoung Yi and Man Jeon (Cha) Yi. She was the widow of Young H. Lee,
who passed away on Feb. 20, 1999. Chong and her late husband owned
and operated the Corner Market in Carlisle and Young’s Supermarket in Harrisburg for many years. She
is a member of the Market Square Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg. She is
survived by her beloved family; one son, Won Lee of Philadelphia, three brothers; Chong Yi of Harrisburg, Chae Yi of Carlisle
and Jong Yi of Harrisburg, three sisters; Chong Horowitz of Newville, Chong Yon Yi and Chong Ae Yi, both of Korea and many
nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister, Yon Kwak and one brother-in-law, Bruce Horowitz. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover
St., Carlisle, with Pastor Ki Nam Lee officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens,
Carlisle. A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a service
