Erma A. Sheriff, 93, of Marysville, passed away
on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Carlisle Regional Medical Center. She was born on December 9, 1923 in Marysville,
and was a daughter of the late Millard and Violet (Miller) Sitterley. She was the widow of Paul Sheriff,
who passed away on Nov. 3, 1999 and Herman Duncan, who was killed in action during WWII on July 24, 1944. Erma had worked at
the former Reeves-Hoffman, Inc., Carlisle and the Carlisle Dress Factory for a combined 20 years. She also
helped her husband, Paul on their agricultural farm. She attended Young’s United Methodist Church
in Shermans Dale. She is survived by one daughter, Erma D. “Peggy” (husband,
Robert) Fedder of Marysville, two grandsons; Sean and Eric Fedder, two great-granddaughters and her close friends and caretakers,
Timothy and Lori McAllister of Marysville. She was predeceased by one daughter, Carol Sheriff, who died
in 1994. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Young’s United Methodist
Church Cemetery in Shermans Dale, with Pastor Travis Allshouse officiating. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home,
Carlisle is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
