
Ida Mae Wolf Goshorn, 76, of Carlisle, passed away on Saturday,
April 8, 2017 in Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle. She was born on April 16, 1940 in Carlisle, and was
a daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther (Miller) Moyer. She was the widow of Ledgard L. Goshorn, who
passed on July 1, 2006 and Lester Wolf.
Ida was a Boiling Springs
High School graduate. She worked for several companies in the area including; Carlisle Container, the former
Dutrey’s Shoe Store, Carlisle and the former McCoy Electronics in Mt. Holly Springs. Ida was a member
of the Carlisle First Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by one son,
William L. (wife, Susan) Goshorn of Cayce, SC, one step-son, Dennis L. Goshorn of Louisville, KY, one step-daughter, Brenda
Goshorn of Washington D.C., one sister, Susan Stone of Carlisle, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces
and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Robert Goshorn, who passed in 1989 and six siblings; Jonathon
Moyer, Benjamin Moyer, Sylvester Moyer, Carl Moyer, Gail Lebo and Ruth Brandt. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the LeTort Cemetery, 1198 Claremont Rd.,
Carlisle. There will be no viewing or visitation. Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, Carlisle,
is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I will always remember Ida as very welcoming to me, my sister and my family as my stepmother. She was full
of uncommon wisdom and loved us as her own. She loved my father deeply. She was the light of his life and he was devoted to
her and loved her deeply too.
