Shirley A. Morrison, 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the M. S. Hershey Medical Center from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.  She was born on October 4, 1935 in Landisburg, and was a daughter of the late David M. Zeigler and Maude (Richey) Miller.  She was the widow of Teddy R. Morrison, who passed away on September 26, 2001.

Shirley was a member of First Church of God, Carlisle.  She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Church of God Home in Carlisle.  Shirley enjoyed volunteering with the Meals on Wheels in Carlisle, doing crafts, crocheting, quilting and putting together puzzles and framing them for her family.

She is survived by three daughters; Judy A. (Calvin) Wiser of Carlisle, Patty D. (Freddie) Langston of Searcy, AR and Amy L. (Shane) Martin of Carlisle, one sister, Lillian A. Mentzer of Carlisle, seven grandchildren; Kristin Marks, Ryan O’Hara, Freddie Langston, Jr., Ashlee Langston Spears, Amanda Martin, Hannah Martin and Sierra Martin, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two sisters; Arlene Cassel and Alberta Garman and three brothers; Fred Gumpher and George and Edwin Zeigler.

A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Greg Hench officiating.  Burial will be in the North Middleton Church of God Cemetery, Carlisle.  Memorial contributions may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.  www.Since1853.com.
