Bob graduated in 1942 from Crafton High School in Pittsburgh.  He was a WWII veteran having served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946.  He graduated from Yale University (School of Engineering) in 1947 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Administration.  Bob retired in 1984 after 37 years of service with PPG Industries. He was the Personnel Manager for the company’s glass division in Pittsburgh.  He formerly attended Boiling Springs Bible Fellowship.

He is survived by two sons; William R. (Janice) Wilson, Jr. of Adams, MA and Douglas S. (Rebecca) Wilson of Mechanicsville, VA, two daughters; Cynthia (William) Wirl of Boiling Springs and Lynn Stahler (Jeff) Seavy of Bolivia, NC, 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by one son-in-law, Jerald Stahler, one brother, Grant Wilson and one sister, Ruth Willner.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with his nephew, Rev. Mark Justice officiating.  Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle with military honors by Cumberland County Honor Guard.  A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.
