Shirley Ann (Feister) Quigley, 78, of Newville, passed away on Tuesday January 17, 2017 at Green Ridge Village in Newville.  She was born January 23, 1938 in Mechanicsburg, and was the daughter of Arthur R. and Sarah L (Walters) Feister and was the widow of Rev. Alex S. Quigley, Sr., who died April 25, 2006 and to whom she was married for 49 years.

Shirley attended Cumberland Valley High School.  She retired from Big Spring Middle School in 1998 where she worked as a head custodian for 30 years.  Shirley attended several of the Churches that her husband served, teaching Sunday School, Bible School, and playing the piano.  Shirley loved to do crafts, work outside, and was frequently seen decorating her house for all holidays. She loved to read and do word search.  Following retirement, Shirley and her husband loved to travel and show their antique car, attend NASCAR races, and enjoyed family vacations to the beach.  Winter months were spent in Florida, watching her son and granddaughter coaching and playing for Messiah College softball.  She also spent time with her many grandchildren at various activities.

She is survived by two sons; Alex S. Quigley Jr and wife Miki of Carlisle and Gregory Quigley and wife Jody of Summerdale, two daughters; Wanda Griffie and husband Keith of Enola and Sherry Devore and husband Samuel of Walnut Bottom and seven grandchildren.  She was predeceased by one daughter, Wendy Quigley.

A viewing will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 followed by funeral services at 12:00 noon in the First Church of God, 475 Shippensburg Rd., Newville, with Pastor Wayne A. Good officiating.  Burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery in Enola following a time of fellowship at the church.  Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Dr., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to Messiah College Softball, One College Ave., Mechanicsburg PA 17055.  Visit www.Since1853.com to send condolences.

To Sherry and all the rest of the family. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Boy was she a hoot!! You always knew when your Mom was in the room with that loud laughter of hers. Sherry...we always knew in the morning by the slamming doors when she wasn't happy with the time we rolled in the night before. It's comforting to know that she is happy once again to be by your Dads side and joking with all those who went before her. May You find the peace and comfort you need at this time of sorrow.
