Connie L. Stought, 71, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at her home.  She was born on July 23, 1945 in Carlisle, and was a daughter of the late Marlin T. and Mable M. (Sanno) Miller.

She was a Carlisle High School graduate with the class of 1963.  Connie was a loving homemaker and had worked for 11 years with the Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot.  She retired to take care of her fur babies, which included many dogs and cats.  Connie organized an annual neighborhood summer ice cream social and fall picnic dinner that ran for nearly ten years.  She loved her family and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.  Connie was a former member of the Bethel Assembly of God, where she taught Sunday school and was a former church secretary.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 52 years, Keith D. Stought, two sons; Shawn T. Stought and Shane P. Stought, two daughters; Kimberly D. Stought and Stacey M. (husband, Tim) Cole, all of Boiling Springs, two grandsons; Thomas and Benjamin Cole, one sister, Sandra E. (husband, Terry) Keller of Mt. Holly Springs and their children, Scott A. Keller and Stephanie L. Kuhn, also extended family members, Raymond Callahan of Florida and Naomi Bobb of Boiling Springs and six nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with Pastor Anthony DeRosa officiating.  Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Monroe Twp.  A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Spay Neuter Assistance Program (SNAP), P.O. Box 126702, Harrisburg, PA 17112-6702.  www.Since1853.com
